The lovely countdown widget on my blog informs me that in 2 days time we will be enjoying the sights of Brussels!! This excites me oh so very much. Mainly because Brussels is famed for some of my favourite foods… chips, waffles, chocolates and mussels. *drooooooool*
Needless to say my whole agenda seems to currently be evolved around restaurants and cafes and the importance of making sure I’m wearing stretchy pants on both days.
Like our last trip to Oslo, we’re travelling as the Fantastic Four once again: me, hubby, sister and the bro in-law will all be boarding Ryanair early Saturday morning ready for a mad 48 hours in Belgium.
Here’s what we’ve got planned so far: The Atomium, Mini Europe, European Commision (although not sure what we’ll do there), Grand Place, Manneken Pis and a lot of general mooching about and exploring.
Half tempted to take in a day trip to Bruges… but we may just play that by ear.
All that’s left is throw a few bits into a carry on and pray that unlike the last two holidays this time I would love to enjoy my time away ILLNESS-FREE. (I am keeping fingers toes and everything crossed, it would be nice to speak to people this time)
If anyone’s got any tips or recommendations do share, anything food or activity related would be much appreciated 🙂
